In this role, you will:

Account opening
  • Manage the account opening process with Kuwait Clearing Company (“KCC”) and internal support functions including Ssv CoE KL to conclude the process of account opening in the market and in the books of HSBC upon receipt of original documentation from the clients.
  • Serve as the touch point with KCC from an account opening perspective and continually engage with KCC to ensure the overall account opening process is seamless with minimal negative impact to clients.
  • Manage all the internal and external reporting associated with account opening process. This includes following up and providing periodic updates on the account opening process to the KCC and to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal support function in setting up accounts, credit limits and ensure SLA are adhered to by operations as effectively as possible.
  • Continually evaluate the account opening process to make improvement to the process to make it as efficient and seamless to clients as possible.
  • Ensure documents are archived as per HSBC and Regulator requirements
  • Effectively supervise operational matters of Ssv business, including provide support to corporate actions and attending meetings as a representative of HSBC Kuwait.
  • Have an oversight over the processes being performed out of Ssv CoE KL and ensure they maintain high standards of delivery. This includes fee billing and recovery process.
  • Implement ongoing service improvement initiatives in response to client needs.
  • To work with: LGA, HOST, PCM CMB to resolve any operational issues for clients

In order to be successful in this role you need to meet the following requirements:
  • University Degree is essential
  • 1-2 year banking experience
  • Ability to listen and understand the expectations/communication of the customer and market participants and to provide customer focused solutions.
  • The ability to communicate effectively is crucial for this role and is acquired and evident from experiences obtained above.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal - especially writing skills.
